Purpose and Background

Many poor people cannot afford the fees of good advocates, even when their rights are violated. Sindh LegalAid Welfare Foundation will provide legal aid to deserving persons who cannot afford legal representation.Access to justice is one of the most important objectives of the Foundation. A poor person may have a genuinelegal right but may lose hope because of fees, procedure, lack of knowledge, fear, pressure, or inability to findproper legal guidance. The Foundation will work to make legal help more reachable, respectful, and organized. The legal aid work will cover civil matters, criminal matters, family issues, women rights, children rights, property and housing rights, education rights, health rights, human rights matters, and public interest issues. The Foundation will also explore legal aid funding from government, donors, and welfare partners so that
deserving people can be assisted through proper legal channels.
