Purpose and Background

Sindh has a long coastal belt, and communitiesliving near the sea faceserious environmental andlivelihood challenges. Coastal erosion, sea intrusion, pollution, climate change, rising sea levels, and unsafeliving conditions affect thousands of families.Coastal communities often depend on fishing, small trade, and natural resources. When sea intrusiondamages land, when mangroves are reduced, when coastal pollution increases, or when storms become moredangerous, the poorest families suffer first. These problems are not only environmental; they are alsoconnected with food security, housing, health, migration, education, and livelihood. The Foundation will work for coastal protection through awareness, advocacy, environmental restoration, and community support. It will especially focus on fishermen, women, children, elderly people, and families living inhigh-risk coastal zones.

A picture may show fishermen near the Sindh coastline, mangrove plantation activities, or community volunteers cleaning a
coastal area. The image should show the connection between people, sea, environment, and survival.
